Spider-Man’s $65 million Broadway turn is reportedly getting more tangled in its own web. One of the show’s original producers tells The Hollywood Reporter that the production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which has been plagued by budget shortfalls, actor injuries, and technical difficulties, will be delayed yet again. The musical was most recently scheduled to open Jan. 11. Spider-Man opened for previews in December, but its disastrous first performance only added to its buzz. That feedback, combined with the fact that actors were getting concussions and breaking wrists during the eight preview performances, has kept the show selling at approximately 98 percent capacity, despite its epic struggle to make it to the stage.
