Airlines will now have to check the no-fly list within two hours of updates from authorities, TSA officials announced Wednesday after a simple miscommunication error seemed to be one of the reasons the Times Square terror suspect was able to board a plane bound for Dubai. Faisal Shahzad had been added to the no-fly list Monday morning, and an email notification went out to airlines at 12:30 p.m. But airlines had only been required to check the no-fly list every 24 hours, so he slipped under the radar and onto the flight, until a last-minute check of the list resulted in the flight turning around at JFK Airport.
