Nearly a third of U.S. veterans in civilian jobs have hidden their war injuries from employers, according to a new study by the nonprofit Center for Talent Innovation. That percentage of people allegedly downplay the history of their military service in order to get along better with coworkers, according to researchers. More than 40 percent of Hispanic veterans said in the survey that they try to hide their experience so as to avoid seeming like aggressive gun-lovers. Overall, the survey found that minority veterans felt more uneasy at work than their white counterparts.
