Outside of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's first court date in a year and a half, several survivors of the bombing confronted pro-Tsarnaev protesters. One survivor, Marc Fucarile, stopped to show protesters his prosthetic leg. “I just asked her if she wanted to come in and look at the evidence and then she could make her choices and decisions on how she feels,” Fucarile told reporters after Tsarnaev's hearing. Another survivor, Karen Brassard, told WBZ-TV, “I want to be here not to see [Tsarnaev] so much as for him to see me, to know that we’ve come through this and we’re stronger and we’re here.” Jury selection for the case is set to begin January 5. Tsarnaev, now 21, could face the death penalty if convicted.
