New Orleans police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of an officer after he allegedly shot and killed a cop while escaping from the backseat of a squad car, police said on Sunday. Authorities said 33-year-old Travis Boys appeared to have access to two guns, even though he had been frisked and was handcuffed in the back of the car at the time of the killing. Police recovered two guns in the patrol car and the officer's gun was still in his holster. Boys was being transported to jail on Saturday when he allegedly shot and killed Officer Daryle Holloway. Police arrested Boys early Sunday after a 24-hour manhunt as he was attempting to board a bus. New Orleans Police Chief Michael Harrison said Boys will be charged with first degree murder.
