Less than a week after speaking out against Apple Music for holding back royalties for any music streamed during a free three-month trial period, Apple has relented and Taylor Swift has licensed her latest album, 1989, to the soon-to-launch streaming service. This is the first time the blockbuster album has been available on a streaming service. “After the events of this week, I’ve decided to put 1989 on Apple Music…and happily so,” Swift tweeted, later adding, “This is simply the first time it’s felt right in my gut to stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for your change of heart.” The streaming deal, Swift noted, is not “exclusive.”
