A Thai newspaper refused to print the international edition of The New York Times on Tuesday because of an article deemed “too sensitive to print,” according to a note sent to subscribers and obtained by The Daily Beast. The Nation, a Bangkok newspaper that prints the Times for Thailand, pulled Tuesday’s edition over an article questioning the future of Thailand’s monarchy in the wake of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s declining health. “This decision was made solely by the printer and is not endorsed by the International New York Times,” International Customer Care Manager Gina Wong said in a note. The move follows protests this week decrying the country’s ruling military junta, which seized power last year.
