It appears The Huffington Post has its own set of Winklevoss twins to deal with: Democratic consultants Peter Daou and James Boyce are suing the website, saying they came up with it with Arianna Huffington and never received credit. They say they gave Huffington a 14-page memo outlining a “liberal Drudge Report” before a November 2004 meeting that included Larry David, David Geffen, Aaron Sorkin, and Meg Ryan, among others. After the meeting, Daou and Boyce said that Huffington asked them to draft a “refined blueprint and strategic plan for the Huffington Post.” (Among the rejected site names: “Arianna’s on Fire.”) However, at the urging of her business partner Ken Lerer, she cut them out. Recently, Huffington told Daou and Boyce that their complaints were "ridiculous," and said last year in a statement that they "had absolutely nothing to do with creating, running, financing, or building the Huffington Post."
