Slate has released its annual ranking of 80 of the world’s most powerful people over 80 years old. New to the top 10 of the 80 Over 80: Warren Buffett, George Soros, Clint Eastwood. Thomas S. Monson, 83, the president of the Mormon Church and as such regarded as a prophet of God by 13 million followers, came in first once again in this year’s list. Among the not-so-fresh-faces likely to make next year’s list: Toni Morrison, Rupert Murdoch, William Shatner.
