Toy Story 3 is on track to have the biggest opening weekend of all time for an animated movie. The Disney film made about $41 million in North America Friday—that’s nearly double the receipts from last year’s Up, released by Pixar. The film will likely pull in between $115 million and $120 million for the weekend. In second place is The Karate Kid, which made $8.9 million; third goes to fellow remake The A-Team with $4.2 million (this is the second weekend for both movies). Shrek Forever After came in fourth with $4.2 million, and Jonah Hex did not fare well at all, bringing in just $2 million its opening day.
