Toyota announced on Wednesday a global recall of over 7.4 million cars due to a power window problem that could cause a fire hazard. The company said that the driver’s side window can feel “notchy” and stick during use, which could be caused by uneven application of grease during the switch assembly process and a fire could occur. In the U.S., the recall will affect 2.5 million cars. The recalled units include a variety of models, including the Highlander, Matrix, Tundra, Yaris, Corolla, Camry and RAV4. Toyota shares were down two percent in worldwide training on Wednesday.
