A tour group got trapped in Horse Cave, Kentucky as a result of flash flooding earlier in the day. Rescues of the individuals were initially reported around 4:20 p.m. and everyone was safely out by around 5:35 p.m. Some of the travelers had gone some four miles into the cave when rising water began to cut off certain pathways in the system. Fifty emergency officials worked together to get the people out and dive teams were also sent to help. In total 21 people were safely let out.
