The tractor-trailer that crashed into a limousine van, killing comedian James McNair and severely injuring Tracy Morgan and two others, was speeding in the moments before the crash, according to a preliminary report. Kevin Roper was driving at 65 miles per hour in a 45-m.p.h. zone for the 60 seconds preceding the crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, the report says. Roper is also accused of not sleeping for more than 24 hours before the crash.
