President Trump started his Tuesday as he often does—with an early-morning tweetstorm lobbing insults at the Fourth Estate. “The Fake News Media has never been so wrong or so dirty. Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!” he wrote, adding, “Well, as predicted, the 9th Circuit did it again - Ruled against the TRAVEL BAN at such a dangerous time in the history of our country. S.C.” The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals did, in fact, deny a second appeal to lift an injunction against the president’s revised travel ban. The ruling even cited Trump’s recent tweets in its case against his ban. “Indeed, the president recently confirmed his assessment that it is the ‘countries’ that are inherently dangerous, rather than the 180 million individual nationals of those countries who are barred from entry under the president’s ‘travel ban,’” the court wrote, citing one of Trump’s tweets from June 5: “That’s right, we need a TRAVEL BAN for certain DANGEROUS countries, not some politically correct term that won’t help us protect our people!” the quoted tweet read.
