President Trump attacked fellow Republicans on Monday for their failure to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. “So far, Senate Republicans have not done their job in ending the Obamacare nightmare,” the president said during a televised public statement in advance of the Senate’s planned Tuesday vote on whether to begin debate on a yet-to-be determined health-care bill. “Any senator who votes against starting debate is telling America that you are fine with the Obamacare nightmare,” Trump added in reference to Republican senators who did not back the Senate’s previous repeal-and-replace efforts. Trump also erroneously described President Obama’s signature health-care law as having been enacted “17 years” ago; the bill was passed in 2010.
