The Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City will shut down after Labor Day weekend, Tropicana Entertainment announced. “Currently the Taj is losing multi-millions a month, and now with this strike we see no path to profitability,” Tropicana’s President and CEO Tony Rodio said in a statement. “Unfortunately, we’ve reached the point where we will have to close the Taj after Labor Day weekend and intend to send WARN notices to before weekend.” The closure is due in part to an ongoing union strike. The Taj is no longer owned by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
