President-elect Donald Trump has lashed out at an Indiana company planning to move jobs to Mexico, after repeatedly warning of “consequences” for companies that choose to move overseas. For Milwaukee-based Rexnord Corps, an industrial supplier, the “consequences” so far have included an angry Twitter rant. “Rexnord of Indiana is moving to Mexico and rather viciously firing all of its 300 workers. This is happening all over our country. No more!” Trump wrote on Friday. The company announced plans back in October to move one of its plants, along with 300 jobs, to Mexico. Trump, who appealed to voters with promises to keep jobs in the U.S., already managed to keep one company from sending its jobs to Mexico. Indiana state officials agreed last month to give United Technology Corps $7 million in tax breaks to keep about 1,000 jobs at its Indianapolis Carrier unit. The company still sent an estimated 1,300 jobs to Mexico, however. As Trump now takes aim at the second company planning to send jobs abroad, it remains unclear whether he will use incentives or punishment to convince individual companies to stay.
