President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Thomas Bossert, former deputy Homeland Security adviser to President George W. Bush, has been tapped for a White House post. Trump released a statement on Tuesday reporting that Bossert will serve as assistant to the president for Homeland Security and counterterrorism, a new post designed to be the president-elect’s counterterrorism chief. Bossert runs the risk-management consulting firm CDS Consulting.
