Over objections from Jared Loughner’s defense attorneys—and the prosecution, too—an Arizona medical examiner has released heartbreaking autopsies for the six victims of January’s Tucson shooting. While the wounds varied, three of the six victims were shot in the head—including Judge John M. Roll, whose autopsy also noted he was wearing a watch on his left wrist and a yellow metal ring on his left fourth finger. The rampage’s youngest victim, Christina Taylor Green, 9 years old, died from a single shot that tore through her aorta, right kidney, stomach, small intestine, and left hemidiaphragm, the pathologist said. One more note on her file: She wore “yellow metal earrings with blue stones in place.”
