At least 20 people were killed at a U.N. office in the Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif when demonstrators stormed the compound, angry over reports that a Florida pastor burned a Koran last month. Demonstrators opened fire on guards and set fires inside the compound. At least eight foreigners were killed, two of them beheaded. A U.N. spokesman confirmed that staff members were killed, but declined to reveal how many were dead or their nationalities. The protest was over reports that Pastor Wayne Sapp set fire to a copy of the Koran at a church in Florida on March 20. Pastor Terry Jones, who earlier gained worldwide attention for threatening to burn a Koran, attended the burning.
