Two of Michael Crichton’s posthumous novels will be released by HarperCollins this fall. The Jurassic Park author, who succumbed to cancer in November, had finished one novel, and left another one unfinished when he died. The completed work, Pirate Latitudes, is an adventure story set in 17th century Jamaica and will come out on Nov. 24. The unfinished novel, what Harper calls a “pure technological thriller,” was recently discovered by Crichton’s assistant. It will be released in Fall 2010, after the publisher finds a writer to complete the book.
