Two CSX rail operators were killed late Tuesday after being hit by an Amtrak train in Northeast D.C. The victims, who have not yet been identified, were struck on the tracks near the 1200 block of New York Avenue, authorities said. No injuries were reported among the passengers on the train, which was pulling into Union Station at the time of the incident. The investigation caused major delays along the Northeast Regional corridor, but train service was expected to resume by mid-morning.
