British anti-terror police—with officials from Belgium and France—have arrested five people with alleged links to recent terror attacks in Europe. Four men and one woman were arrested in Birmingham and at Gatwick Airport. Law-enforcement authorities say they are being held under suspicion of involvement in the terrorist acts. “The arrests were pre-planned and intelligence-led,” said Assistant Chief Constable Marcus Beale. “There was no risk to the public at any time and there is no information to suggest an attack in the U.K. was being planned.”
