Fourteen Taliban were killed when as many as 18 U.S. missiles were fired into an insurgent sanctuary along Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan on Tuesday. The attack marks the third since the Times Square bombing attempt was linked to the Pakistani Taliban. The high number of missiles indicates multiple targets, but their names have not been released. Insurgents have training camps and hideouts in the Doga region, in North Waziristan, and cars, homes, and tents were hit. Nearly 30 American attacks have targeted the area so far in 2010.
