A University of South Carolina student has been suspended after a photo of a racist slur on a whiteboard circulated on social media. “Today, the unfortunate and disappointing act of a student in a study room has challenged the Carolina community to reflect on our values and tell the world what we believe,” school President Harris Pastides said in a statement. A student—it is unclear if it was the same student who was suspended—was shown listing reasons why “USC wifi blows.” The first reason listed was the racial slur.
