Following the latest reports that the iPhone will finally be making it to the Verizon network comes news that Apple will begin selling the iPad at Verizon Wireless stores in a few short weeks, marking the first integration of the two competing companies. The iPad, which has already sold approximately 8 million units, will not run on the usual 3G network familiar to Apple users. Instead, Verizon will incorporate a “MiFi” card, which will allow users to create portable WiFi hubs. Experts say it's a strategic move on Apple’s part to bring the tablet device to Verizon, the U.S.’ largest wireless carrier, before companies such as Samsung and Motorola release their tablet devices.
