After 8400 high resolution scans from the Apollo Project’s years in space were dumped on Flickr last week, director of photography Tom Kucy immediately saw their out-of-this-world potential. Utilizing his skills in Photoshop and After Effects, Kucy compiled the best of the historic, astronaut-captured photos into a two-minute mini movie, using 3D effects to sculpt them into a slow motion, cinematic experience straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster.
