The White House on Monday defended comedian Larry Wilmore from criticism of his use of the “N-word” during his set at the White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend. “Any comedian who's signed up to follow President Obama at the White House correspondents’ dinner is assuming one of the most difficult tasks in comedy,” Josh Earnest said during a presser. “Comedians are going to go right up to the line,” he added. “Mr. President, if I’m going to keep it 100,” Wilmore said, pounding his chest, at the conclusion of his Saturday evening roast. “Yo, Barry, you did it, my nigga!”
