The apple may not have fallen far from the tree: The day after The New York Times reported that Meg Whitman, the Republican running for California governor, once had to pay an eBay employee $200,000 after she shoved her, Gawker reports that Whitman’s son, Griff Harsh, was arrested for beating up a girl in 2006 and charged with felony battery. According to the police reports, Harsh allegedly shoved a girl who had mocked his fraternity, causing her to break her ankle. Whitman then paid his $25,000 bail. However, Harsh was never found guilty—after nine court appearances, the charges were dismissed.
