Will Smith has saved the world more than once onscreen, but this fall, he's going to try and narrow the focus some.
Based on a true story, Concussion stars Smith as Dr. Bennet Omalu, the neuropathologist who discovered CTE, the degenerative disorder that afflicts people who have experienced repeated head trauma. The film focuses on Omalu's struggle against the NFL to expose the truth about the risks football players take with their brains. Also starring Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (from the underrated Beyond the Lights), Concussion opens in September.
