A woman was killed Wednesday after getting pinned between floors in an office elevator in New York City. The victim, who was not identified, had stepped halfway into the elevator when it started to ascend to the second floor with the doors still open. She was reportedly then pinned between floors and was crushed when the elevator took off before she could fully enter the car, an FDNY spokesman said. Two people in the elevator suffered minor injuries. The Madison Avenue office building where the incident occurred houses Young & Rubicam Brands, one of the world’s largest consumer advertising agencies, but it was not yet known if the woman worked for the firm.
