Let the circus begin: Woody Allen is expected to appear in court today as the first witness in his $10 million lawsuit against American Apparel, which he is suing for using his likeness on a billboard. American Apparel, arguing that Allen has already ruined his own image, has threatened to call his ex Mia Farrow and her adopted daughter, to whom he is currently married, as witnesses, though its founder, Dov Charney seemed to back off last month when he said “I have deep respect for Mr. Allen, who is a source of inspiration for me.” Allen has called the use of his image an “appalling” and “mortifying” violation of his privacy.
