We’ve all done it, and now Mike Tindall has been busted for buying his wife, Royal Olympian Zara Phillips, a £2:99 card for their first anniversary on the wedding day itself.
The Sun says the English Rugby player ace was spotted picking up the card last Monday, their first wedding anniversary, in a store a stone’s throw from the equestrian arena in Royal Greenwich Park, South East London, where showjumper Zara, 31, won an Olympic silver medal the next day.
The budget card bore the message: “To the woman I’d marry all over again.”
Tindall, 33, had been watching Zara from the Royal stand with mother-in-law Princess Anne and the Duke of Edinburgh when he abrubptly broke off to walk down the road to the Sainsbury’s Local on Greenwich High Road.
I know, the romance!
