Education Secretary Betsy DeVo announced Friday that Obama-era guidance on probing campus sexual assault has been scrapped and replaced with new temporary instructions that “will treat all students fairly.” In the past, DeVos said the guidelines were skewed against those accused of assault. “Schools must continue to confront these horrific crimes and behaviors head-on,” DeVos said in a statement. “There will be no more sweeping them under the rug. But the process also must be fair and impartial, giving everyone more confidence in its outcomes.”
